Updating an Attack Object Offline


To update an attack object offline, perform the following steps:

Download the file attackobj.set. The URLs for downloading are:


Determine the file you need to download by checking your current version. Log in to the IDP Sensor as the root user.

Enter scio version; press ENTER.

Navigate to

Under each file there is the version followed by the build number. Example:

:minUIVersion ("3.0.62801")
:maxUIVersion ("3.0.99999")

 This section shows a build number between 62801 and 99999.

Download the file to your local desktop.

Log in to the IDP User Interface (UI).

From the Tools menu, click Preferences.

From Update URL, enter local. Click OK.

From the Tools menu, click Update Attacks.

A window displays the path where the file is located.

After the Update Attacks wizard is complete, update the policy.
