Article ID: KB4760 KB Last Updated: 25 Jun 2020Version: 5.0
Summary:

Configuring WebTrends with the NetScreen firewall

Solution:

To configure WebTrends, perform the following steps:

Step one: Open the WebUI. For an example of how to access the WebUI, consult: KB4060 - Accessing Your NetScreen, SSG, or ISG Firewall Using the WebUI

Step two: From the NetScreen console menu, click Configuration, select Report Settings, and then click WebTrends.

Step three: Click to select Enable WebTrends Messages.

Note: If you are sending WebTrends data through a VPN to a NetScreen (on the opposite end of the tunnel), click Use Trust Zone Interface as Source IP for VPN.

Step four: Enter the WebTrends Host Name / Port.

Note: For this example, we have used 192.168.1.2 for a Host Name. It is recommended to leave the syslog port as the default, 514. Select the type of logs need to send to the WebTrend server. In above example, event logs will send to the WebTrend server.

Step five: Click Apply.

Modification History:
2020-06-25: Removed the old WebUI snapshots and replaced with new WebUI.
