[Archive] IDP-50 session limit

Article ID: KB4956 KB Last Updated: 09 Jun 2010Version: 3.0
IDP-50 session limit

The IDP-50 model has a session limitation of handling a maximum of 10,000 sessions total. The 10,001 session will be dropped. The first 10,000 sessions will be handled by the IDP and anything over that total will be dropped.

The 10,000 sessions can consist of TCP, UDP, ICMP, and other protocols. There is not a way to alter or change the number of 10,000 maximum sessions. The 10,000 sessions is hardcoded.

*Please note that other models of IDP (IDP-200, IDP600, IDP-1100) can handle more sessions.
