Summary:
PPPoE support on NS200 Series
Symptoms:
Original password is in clear-text in the configuration file PPPoE bound to interface ethernet2 PPPoE changed after clicking connect in WebUI Click Connect in WebUI, and password becomes hashed, and can no longer establish PPPoE connection Re-type password, and able to connect Disconnect button does not appear on WebUI
Solution:

PPPoE is only supported on ethernet3.  Modify the interface configuration so ethernet3 is the PPPoE interface.  

Here is the problem or goal:

  • PPPoE changed after clicking connect in WebUI
  • Click Connect in WebUI, and password becomes hashed, and can no longer establish PPPoE connection
  • Re-type password, and able to connect
  • Disconnect button does not appear on WebUI

Problem Environment:

  • Original password is in clear-text in the configuration file
  • PPPoE bound to interface ethernet2
