How to troubleshoot on NetScreen-Remote 7.0?
Symptoms:
Driver is not installed
NetScreen-Remote 7.0
Traffic does not seem to be encrypting
IPSec VPN tunnel is not being established
Move mouse to NetScreen-Remote icon, and shows message:No driver installed

Solution:

If the driver is not loaded, a large red X will appear on the taskbar icon. On some systems the bindings need to be re-established.

  1. Go to add/remove programs
  2. Selecting "Repair" on NetScreen-Remote. This will cause a reboot - this is often necessary if the Network Interface Card, or driver or sniffer software is installed.
  3. Other VPN Clients are not compatible and should not be used on the same system.
  4. Also some third party Personal FW or sniffer software can cause driver installation problems. These software applications must be completely uninstalled before NetScreen-Remote is installed.
