What does nopfs do?

Article ID: KB5476 KB Last Updated: 22 Jul 2010Version: 3.0
What does nopfs do?
IKE VPN tunnel IKE Phase 2 negotiations

No PFS refers to no perfect forward secrecy.  This is where phase 2 uses the same key used in phase 1 for IKE negotiations.  It is generally more secure to specify a separate Diffie Helman algorithm to be calculated for phase 2.  If nopfs proposal is chosen on the NetScreen, the peer gateway must have perfect forward secrecy disabled.
