Summary:
Console message: ignore image authentication
Symptoms:
Load System Image from Flash
********ignore image authentication!
Load image to address 0x80060000
Console message: ignore image authentication
Same message appears on every bootup
The US government required it, and in this case, the BootROM bypassed this check. It won't affect any operation.

Solution:

It is normal for the NetScreen to boot up with the ignore image authentication message.  This message is an acknowledgement that the FIPS key is not loaded.

Here is the problem or goal:

  • Console message: ignore image authentication
  • Same message appears on every bootup

Problem Environment:

  • Load System Image from Flash
    ********ignore image authentication!
    Load image to address 0x80060000

Additional Information:
