Summary:
Cannot perform a snmpwalk
Symptoms:
MIB files loaded on SNMP Manager
SNMP configured on the NetScreen
Cannot perform a snmpwalk

Solution:

There are four things to check:

  • Enable SNMP on the interface pointing towards the SNMP manager.
  • Verify the remote SNMP agent matches the IP address of the NetScreen interface where SNMP is enabled
  • Verify the SNMP communities on the NetScreen and the SNMP manager matches
  • Verify the SNMP manager IP address is in the SNMP community string you are using
