Summary:
Will the Personal Firewall work on a PC with multiple IP addresses assigned to one Network Interface Card (NIC)?
Symptoms:
Sygate Personal Firewall PC has multiple IP addresses configured on one physical Network Interface Card (NIC)
Solution:

Multiple IP addresses on a single physical NIC is not supported.  The Personal Firewall will not be able to detect the NIC card with Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP if multiple addresses are assigned to the NIC. 

Workaround:  Remove the additional IP addresses to use the Personal Firewall

  • Sygate Personal Firewall
  • PC has multiple IP addresses configured on one physical Network Interface Card (NIC)
