Article ID: KB6104 KB Last Updated: 26 Dec 2012Version: 3.0
Summary:
IDP: Using scripts for rule notification
Symptoms:
Management Server scripts IDP version 2.0 rule notification When you upgrade to IDP 2.0, the previously-defined run script or email address is displayed as the first entry in a pull-down menu. To use additional email addresses, enter them in the email field and press Enter.
Cause:

Solution:

You can use multiple run scripts and email addresses for notification within a rule. The new email address appears in the email pull-down menu. To use additional run scripts, place the scripts in the run script directory. The new scripts now appear in the run script pull-down menu (you might need to close and reopen the Configure Notification dialogue box to view the new scripts). You can specify a different run script for each rule, if desired.

There is a directory on the IDP Management Server where the scripts should be located:  /usr/idp/mgt-svr/var/accounts/1/scripts

You must place all run scripts for IDP 2.0 within this directory to access them in the UI. Please note that previously-defined run scripts (from version 1.6) are moved to this directory during the Sensor upgrade.
