Summary:
How to send 'notification' message to WebTrends server?
Symptoms:
WebTrends Firewall Suite v4.1a NetScreen-204 ScreenOS 4.0.2r2 WebTrends server is only receiving traffic logs Checked "Notification" box for WebTrends on the WebUI Can't send "notification" message to WebTrends server
Solution:

NetScreen box does NOT send any "notification" messages on the event log (get log event) to the WebTrends server.  "Notification" messages for WebTrends refer to traffic log notification.

Example: If "notification" message on the WebTrends report setting is disabled like below, WebTrends server will never get any traffic log (notification).

On the WebUI:
Configuration > Report Settings > Log Settings > uncheck "Notification" for WebTrends

On the CLI:
unset log module system level notification destination webtrends

To enable traffic log (notification), use "set log module system level notification destination webtrends", and to verify it on the CLI, use "get log setting" command.
