How do I enable Webtrends in ScreenOS?


This solution applies to ScreenOS 5.4.0 and newer:

ScreenOS supports sending log messages to a Webtrends server, which is able to plot trends in traffic.  

Example:  Assume you are trying to offload ScreenOS messages to the Webtrends server at 

From the WebUI:

  1. Click Configuration > Report Settings > Webtrends
  2. Click Enable Webtrends
  3. If sending Webtrends data through a VPN to a NetScreen (on the opposite end of the tunnel), click "Use Trust Zone Interface as Source IP for VPN"
  4. Webtrends Host Name / Port: / 514    (It is recommended to leave the syslog port as the default, 514)
  5. Click Apply
