How Do I Resolve 'No Virtual Adapters Available' in Juniper Networks NetScreen-Remote?
This article applies to NetScreen-Remote 8.0 and higher.
To resolve 'No Virtual Adapters Available' in Juniper Networks NetScreen-Remote, perform the following steps:
Search for files beginning with oem and contain the text dni_vapmp in C:\WINNT\inf.

Delete the files that are found. In this example, oem3.inf was found.
Search for the same file name as found in Step 1 with a .pnf file extension.

Delete the files that are found.
From the Control Panel, double-click System.

On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.

From the View drop-down menu, click to select Show hidden devices.

Expand Network Adapters, right-click Deterministic Networks WAN Virtual Miniport, and then click Uninstall.
Open the CLI. For more information on how to open the CLI, go to Accessing the Command Line Interface Using Telnet.
Navigate to: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Deterministic Networks\DNE>.
To display the current VA bindings, enter C:\Program Files\Common Files\Deterministic Networks\DNE>dne2000 -b dni_vapmp.
To delete all current VA bindings, enter C:\Program Files\Common Files\Deterministic Networks\DNE>dne2000 -u dni_vapmp.
To ensure there are no current VA bindings, enter C:\Program Files\Common Files\Deterministic Networks\DNE>dne2000 -b dni_vapmp.
Run a repair maintenance of NetScreen-Remote from Add\Remove programs in the Control Panel and reboot the system when the repair maintenance is complete.
Repair can only be performed on WIN NT & Win 2K OS, and is not supported on WIN 98 or lower.
If these instructions do not successfully allow you to re-install the NetScreen-Remote program, you will then have to remove any files in the registry that pertain to the NetScreen-Remote program.
Another option is to go into the registry (regedit) and perform a CTL-F (Find) and DELETE the following files or folders attached to:
Re-boot the PC and try to re-install the NetScreen-Remote client software program.
