What events will trigger the alarm LED to go red?
Alarm LED on the front panel is red.
This solution applies to the NetScreen-25, NetScreen-50, NetScreen-204, and NetScreen-208.

”note:  For other Juniper firewall devices, refer to KB13239 - How to troubleshoot red ALARM LED on the firewall.

The alarm LED will turn red whenever any one of the following events occur:

Syn Attack
Tear Drop Attack
Ping of Death

Winnuke Attack
IP Spoof Attack
IP Source Route Attack
Land Attack
ICMP Flood
UDP Flood
Port Scan Attack
Address Sweep
Policy Deny Alarms

Check the alarm events to determine if you have received any one of these messages.
