Article ID: KB6691 KB Last Updated: 23 Aug 2010Version: 3.0
Summary:
Disable URL Blocking from an Interface in Transparent Mode
Symptoms:
Set URL no-block in Transparent Mode URL Filtering Websense set url no-block does not turn off URL filtering in the DMZ
Solution:

In ScreenOS 4.0.0, the command set url no-block was introduced. This command allows you to specify that a particular interface will not do URL filtering check for http traffic. The normal syntax for this is:

set url no-block

When in NAT or Route mode, the source and destination interface is specified. However, in transparent mode, the source and destination layer 2 zone must be specified. So in transparent mode, the proper syntax is:

set url no-block

For example, if you want to disable URL filtering on any device in the V1-DMZ zone, specify the following:

set url no-block V1-DMZ V1-Untrust

Here is the problem or goal:

  • set url no-block does not turn off URL filtering in the DMZ
