NSM: Can one avoid having to re-import a device?

Q: Can one avoid having to re-import a device?

A: Yes. If you make changes to a device using the CLI or WebUI, you can determine what has changed by using the Delta Config summary tool, then manually update those items in the NSM GUI. Once the configurations match, update the device so it will appear as in sync in the Device Monitor.

There is one circumstance, however, where you must delete and re-import your device '- changing to or from transparent mode. NSM is not able to make this change to the device configuration. There is currently no other work-around for this, however it may be addressed in a future release.
