How Are Routing Settings Handled in Juniper Networks NSM?

Routing settings are managed on a per-device basis. In addition, routing settings that are common across devices can be set in a device template and be applied to various devices.

For example, if you want to configure 15 devices in your network to participate in a specific OSPF area, you could create a template for OSPF settings, and apply it to the 15 devices. Once the template has been created and applied to the devices, you can then change each device's specific parameters, including selecting the interfaces with OSPF enabled.

To create a routing settings template, perform the following steps:

Connect to NetScreen-Security Manager. For more information, go to Connecting to the NetScreen-Security Manager.

Expand Device Manager, and then click to select FW/VPN Device Templates.
