[EOL/EOE] Why Can I not see any logs in NSM when I filter on an NSRP cluster?

Why Can I not see any logs in NSM when I filter on an NSRP cluster?

Solution:

In NetScreen-Security Manager, the admin can parse or filter the logs based on device.  However, if the admin selects to filter on a particular cluster, no logs will be visible.


To see the logs of the device in the cluster, select the individual device within the cluster to see any log contents.

For example:
Assume there is a pair of NetScreen-50s in an NSRP cluster.  The devices of this cluster are labeled NS50A and NS50B.  The cluster is labeled NS50 Cluster.  To filter the logs to see events generated by the cluster:

  1. From the Log Viewer select the severity level of interest
  2. Right click the Device column, then select Filter > Set Filter

  3. Select the devices NS50A and NS50B. Do not select the cluster.

  4. Click "OK".'  The log events for the individual devices of the cluster will now display.
