  • PKCS11 or PKCS12
Q:  Does NetScreen-Remote (NSR) support PKCS11 certificate format?

A: No, NSR supports importing of certificates using an import type of one of the following three:

1. PKCS #12 Personal Certificate - used with online enrollment
  •   PKCS #12 specifies the format for storing or transporting a user's private keys, certificates, misc. secrets, etc.

2. Certificate and Private Key File (which uses PKCS #7 and #10) - used with older certificate and key types
  •   PKCS #7 defines a general syntax for messages that include cryptographic enhancements such as digital signatures and encryption.
  •   PKCS #10 describes the syntax for certification requests

3. Certificate Request Response file - used with manual certificate requests.

For more information about the various cryptographic standards, see RSA Laboratories'  Crypto FAQ
