How Do I Remove imagekey.cer file?

Article ID: KB8161 KB Last Updated: 23 Aug 2010Version: 3.0
imagekey.cer is currently loaded on the device, but want to remove it now.

Seeing some errors when trying to either download software or get DI updates, and get the following messages:

  • invalid dsa key
  • invalid image
  • bogus image - not authenticated

To remove the imagekey.cer file (which does a check to make sure the ScreenOS image loaded is authenticated), use the command:

delete crypto auth-key

After removing this key, the ScreenOS image authentication test will be bypassed.
