Article ID: KB8826 KB Last Updated: 20 Mar 2020Version: 6.0
Summary:

This article explains whether there is a way to perform a gracious shutdown of ScreenOS devices.

Solution:

Graceful shutdown does not apply to ScreenOS.

There is no specific command which you can enter to shutdown the device. The only way to shutdown is powering off the device.

If you enter 'reset' command, you can reboot the device. This means it will first turn off the device, then immediately start the boot process to restart the device.
