How To Determine Version of Bootloader on ISG and NS-5000 devices

Article ID: KB9446 KB Last Updated: 20 Aug 2010Version: 4.0
Some platforms require certain versions of bootloader in order to run higher versions of ScreenOS.  For example, the ISG-2000 requires bootloader 1.1.5 to run ScreenOS 5.2.0 or higher

On the ISG and NS-5000 devices, the bootloader version can be obtained using the command 'get envar'.

nsisg2000-> get envar
last_reset=2007-01-06 18:37:17 by netscreen
run_image=default (nsISG2000.5.2.0yk1.0)
.hash-seg=6 (1550589956)

On ScreenOS 5.4.0 and higher, the boot loader version can be determined from issuing the command 'get system'.

nsisg2000-> get system
