Summary:

The ISG Upgrade Kit is for ISG customers that want to install and use the IDP functionality.   I ordered an ISG upgrade kit (IKT) but did not receive the licenses.  Where do I find them?

Symptoms:
Environment:
  • IDP License and Registration
  • NSM Download
  • Network Security Manager (NSM) License certificate
Solution:
IDP Upgrade Kit for ISG (NS-ISG-1000-IKT  and NS-ISG-2000-IKT) contains:
  • 2GB memory upgrade
  • IDP license certificate (**)
  • 5 device NSM license certificate and CD (**)
  • Anti-static mat
  • Screwdriver
  • Instructions
 
note:     (1) One Kit required per system.
 (2) IDP functionality on the ISG device requires the Advance License Key.  If the ISG device is a Baseline System, the "Upgrade Baseline to Advanced" license key is required.


** Activation of the IDP License is a required step of the upgrade process.  Registration of the NSM serial number license is recommended.  Consult the notes below for additional information on each license.
 
note: Authorization and Registration process require a Customer Service Center (CSC) log in. For assistance with setting up an account, consult Create User Account or Login Assistance

IDP License Certificate
The IDP License certificate is a paper certificate containing an authorization code; it is included in the shipping box along with the items listed above. You need to activate the authorization code against the ISG hardware serial number in LMS.  For additional information, consult the Generate License Key page.

5 device NSM License Certificate and CD
The NSM license serial number (located on the paper certificate)  and software CD are included in the box along with the items listed above.  You need to install NSM from the CD and register the serial number at Register New Product". Once the serial number is registered, the warranty provides 90-day software download.  Note, NSM support requires a service contract.
