[Archive] Where can I download the NetScreen-Remote VPN Client

Juniper NetScreen-Remote (NSR) VPN Client or Security Client  is not bundled with any of the Firewall products and must be purchased separately.  In order to download upgrades for NSR, the serial number must be registered.

  • Cannot see the software in the download options
  • Cannot download software
  • The firewall serial number doesn't let me download NSR
  • Cannot find the NSR serial number
  • I registered the product but I'm not able to download software.  What else do I need to download software?


Juniper NetScreen-Remote is not bundled with any of the Firewall products and must be purchased separately.  In order to download upgrades for NSR, the serial number for the NSR product must be registered.  (The 16-digit serial number for NSR is found on the registration card that was included in the jewel case of the NSR CD.)  Registering provides 90 days to download software (warranty), after 90 days a support contract is required.  

To purchase the Juniper NetScreen-Remote (NSR) product, please contact your authorized Juniper reseller.  If  you do not have a reseller, contact Inside Sales department  for a list of resellers.

If you have purchased and registered your NSR product, go to Download Software and select the appropriate link.

If you are still encountering errors when attempting to download, make sure the prefix of NS-R8A or NS-R8P is registered (this is the NSR product).  To view all products registered to your account, go to the Product Search page and select "View all products under your profile". (CSC login is required)
