Summary:

The Knowledge Search Subscription service provides notifications on software and hardware updates, new software releases, security alerts, End-of-Life announcements, Support news and announcements, etc. Customers and partners can log in and change their notification preferences at any time.

This article provides instructions on how to create, renew, and cancel a subscription.

Solution:

Overview

Juniper's Knowledge Base and Problem Report Subscription feature allows you to receive an email summary about new and updated articles for the Juniper sites listed below.  Log into either tool and look for the "My Subscriptions" link near your login ID or select the link from below:

Sites Available from Knowledge Base:
  • Knowledge Base (KB) –Troubleshooting articles, Data Collection Lists, Recommended Release articles, Getting Started Jumpstations, and more.
  • JunosE Defect (KA) - JunosE Defect articles for E/ERX Series
  • Security Advisories (JSA) - Security vulnerability, alerts, and advisory notices.
  • Technical Bulletins (TSB) - Product Support Notices, Software Release Notices, Product Changes Notices, and EOL (End of Life) / EOS (End of Support) notices
  • Technotes (TN) - Application notes

Site Available from Problem Report (PR) Search:

  • Problem Report (PR) - aka Bug Review  - Reported issues for Junos and ScreenOS platforms.
 

Creating and Managing Subscriptions

Create a Subscription at any of the following levels:
  • Site: This is the widest subscription type. Receive a summary for all products in the selected site. Example: Knowledge Base, Technical Bulletins
  • Technology Group: Receive updates for articles related to product categories in a selected Group(s).  Example: Security Products, Router Products.
  • Product Series: Get about new and updated articles for selected product Series/Application. Example: SRX Series, Junos Space, PTX Series
  • Individual Articles: This is the narrowest of  subscription types. An email will be sent when a selected article is updated. Example KB23343, TN8847, PR1342081.

Subscribe/Copy a Subscription:

  • To create a new subscription:  Simply select the Site from the pull-down menu and then click "Go". Select the items you want to receive notifications for and then click “Save Subscriptions”.
  • To copy a subscription:
    1. While creating a new subscription or editing an existing subscription, select one or more of the available Sites listed at the top of the form
    2. Select your Product Series, Technology Group, or 'All Group and Series"
    3. Click “Save Subscriptions”.
  • To create a subscription to an individual article:  Go to the article and select 'Subscribe' from the toolbox on the right.
Change/Renew/Cancel a Subscription:
  • To Change a Site subscription, click "Edit". Make the necessary changes and then click “Save Subscription”.
  • To Renew a Site or Article Subscription, select “Renew” 
  • To Unsubscribe/Cancel a Site or Article Subscription, select “Unsubscribe”. For Security Advisories and Technical Bulletins, use Opt Out to be removed from the notification list.
 
NOTES:
  • Review your Subscriptions a couple of times a year to stay current with Juniper's latest innovations.
  • Subscriptions to Knowledge Base, Technotes, JunosE Defect, and PR Search will automatically expire after 180 days
  • Security Advisory and Technical Bulletin subscriptions never expire. 
  • Use Opt Out to Unsubscribe from Security Advisories and Technical Bulletins.
  • Security Advisories - by default, all users without an existing security subscription are subscribed to ALL Security Advisories
