Can we change the IP address on the administrative interface on JATP devices?

Article ID: TN319 TECHNOTES Last Updated: 27 Dec 2017Version: 1.0
Description:
It's easy caveat that if performed on the Core/CM (Smartcore) device, this changes the value of "CM" (which is usually the IP address of the SmartCore) in your cluster so any collectors, secondary cores, etc will need to be modified. For those secondary devices, changing the IP is the same and does NOT affect the CM value.- so the only change needed is modifying the IP of those specific devices.

You can login via SSH as 'admin' and then:

>server
>set ip

It will ask for IP, Mask, and DNS servers. Then will ask if you want to reset the eth0 interface (yes) and also about regenerating the cert (answer doesn't matter; you'll get a cert warning when accessing the GUI for the first time in either case)

As mentioned earlier,  if you change the Core/CM (Smartcore) IP, this changes the value of CM, so now you need to login to other devices as 'admin' and
>server
>set cm

to set CM to the new IP address for the Core/CM (SmartCore) device
