SmartCore or Core/CM - This is the main sandbox environment as well as main orchestration component of the system. Required for operation

Collector - This is the network collector, typically connected to a mirror interface via a physical tap, aggregation tap (ideal) or SPAN/RSPAN configuration off a switch or firewall

Secondary Core - These are used to scale the processing capability of the SmartCore to increase the number of simultaneous "cooker" sessions in the sandbox.

MTA Collector - a special email collector which acts as an Mail Transport Agent (MTA)

MCM - Master of Central Managers - a special configuration type of Core/CM which allows for "single pane of glass" view when multiple Core/CM devices are deployed (e.g. Asia, Europe, US)
