Enabling Remote Support option for JATP series

Article ID: TN326 TECHNOTES Last Updated: 29 Mar 2018Version: 2.0

Enabling the Remote Support Option

The Cyphort Remote Support feature allows Cyphort staff to access your Cyphort appliance with a special login, via a secure, https encapsulated reverse-SSH tunnel across dedicated infrastructure. This avoids tying up your staff or PCs to host a screen-share session (Webex/Zoom*).

  • For issues related to the Web UI, please also create a (temporary) web login with Admin rights for Cyphort staff.
  • For API issues, please also generate the API key for that user.
NOTE: Our Remote Support option does not require any inbound connectivity (such as a VIP). It's a reverse SSH tunnel (inside HTTPS) via a bastion host in our cloud infrastructure which is secured via a certificate authority. So if the machine can make an outbound HTTPS connection it will work.

First make sure the "Enable Juniper Support Account " is checked:

Then enable Remote Support:

*Detailed logging of remote support activities is not yet available. If this is required, please request a Webex/Zoom remote support session instead.
