PR Number Synopsis Description

i40e NVM upgrade support for PTX platforms

Adding support for i40e NVM upgrade in PTX3000 platforms

Traffic might be blocked on MX with MS-MPC/MS-MIC

On MX platforms with MS-MPC/MS-MIC, if a large sum of similar packets (eg:thousands of packets) are received, because of the flaw of the method to process these packets, data/management path was completely blocked and dead-locked. Eventually, traffic might be blocked.

QFX : error message 'Failed with error (-7) while deleting the trunk 1 on the device 0'

On QFX series switch, error message below would be seen when adding or removing local-bias setting on SP style LAG interface. %PFE-3: fpc0 Failed with error (-7) while deleting the trunk 1 on the device 0

Untagged traffic is single-tagged in Q-in-Q scenario on EX4300 platforms

On EX4300 platforms except for EX4300-48MP, untagged traffic over S-VLAN is forwarded with a single tag (S-VLAN tag) instead of double tags (native-VLAN and S-VLAN tag).

The PTX1000/PTX10002/QFX10002 may stop forwarding packets after the "chassis-control" process restarts

During normal operation on PTX1000/PTX10002/QFX10002 platforms, if the "chassis-control" process restarts, the hardware may not get properly programmed. This causes packets to be dropped on the output interface.

libvirtMib_suba core seen during installation

libvirtMib_suba core might be observed during installation of images. There is no functional impact due to this core, since this core happens in the libvirtMib_subagent.

MX: PTP phase aligned but TE/cTE not good

PTP/Hybrid is not supported with the hyper mode. Delete/deactivate hyper-mode config and reboot the router to use PTP #delete forwarding-options hyper-mode; OR Add the below config on the platforms where supported. set forwarding-options no-hyper-mode

Interface with FEC disabled might flap after RE mastership switchover

By default, RS-FEC (Reed-Solomon Forward Error Correction) is enabled for 100G SR4/PSM4 optics and disabled for 100G LR4 optics. The "set interfaces xx gigether-options fec" knob was introduced in Junos OS Release 16.1R1, it can be used to override the default behavior and explicitly enable/disable FEC for a 100G interface. In GRES scenario, when a 100G interface with SR4/PSM4 optics (e.g. QSFP-100GBASE-SR4/QSFP-100G-PSM4) is a member of an AE interface, and FEC is disabled on AE (knob "gigether-options fec none" is configured), the interface might flap during RE mastership switchover. After that, the interface will come up itself and this issue will recover automatically.

Data port LED's are off even while interfaces are up

Data Port LEDs were off even when the interfaces came up. This PR fixes the issue. Now, the data port LEDs are ON when the interfaces are up.

The operations on console might not work if the knob "system ports console log-out-on-disconnect" is configured

With the knob "system ports console log-out-on-disconnect" configured, if executing some operations on console, the console operations might fail to work properly.

scaled filter leads to packets drop as flt.Dispatcher.flt_err on PTX

Due to a bug in software, it may fail to clean up old entries during filter change operation. The filter manager is associating filters to transit packets where the ASIC unable to locate the program as it has been deleted earlier. Hence all transit packets are hitting flt.Dispatcher.flt_err and got dropped on PFE.

ACX5448 forward small packets(less than 64 bytes including padding) if egress link is 40G/100G causing remote interface drop as runts.

ACX5448 forward small packets(less than 64 bytes including padding) if egress link is 40G/100G causing remote interface drop as runts.

i40e NVM upgrade support for EX9200 platform

Added support for i40e NVM upgrade in EX9208 in JUNOS Software releases

Transit DHCPv6 packets might be dropped on QFX5100/5200 platforms

On QFX5100/5200 platforms, transit DHCPv6 packets might be dropped. I.e., pass-through DHCPv6 packets might not be forwarded.

(SEEN ONLY ON LEGACY IMAGE) ISSU is failing from 19.1R1 legacy Junos release images

ISSU from 19.1R1 Legacy Junos images impact the commits on the device

CGNAT logs are not received by the syslog server over TCP-based-syslog when data traffic is sent at 10k sessions/sec

CGNAT logs are not received by the syslog server over TCP-based-syslog when data traffic is sent at 10k sessions/sec. Drops are seen at the MS-MPC pic itself as it was unable to send those.

On PTX/QFX AE outgoing traffic might be dropped after changes are made to AE

On PE-chip based PTX/QFX platforms (including PTX1K/3K/5K/10K series, QFX10K series), if CoS IEEE-802.1 rewrite rule is configured and bound to the AE interface, traffic going out the AE interface might get dropped after changes are made to AE, due to nexthop install failure on ingress PFEs.

ACX5448: Pkt buffer error from PFE leading to memory leak when IGMP is sent from NNI AC in L2circuit & VPLS

In an ACX5448 platforms, when the PFE failed to allocate packet buffer, portion of packet memories may not be freed.

cfmd crashed after Junos software upgrade

When Junos has been upgraded to any version after 17.1R1 and before any fixed version, cfmd might crash right after the upgrade and could not be restarted, when centralized mode enabled.

RED drops on all the interfaces on ACX5448

On an ACX5448, traffic might be dropped on interfaces' egress queues and recorded as RED drops. This is due to a software defect which incorrectly configured buffer configurations in the PFE. The trigger events are either COS configuration changes or link flap.
