This article explains how to determine the version of bootloader on ISG and NS-5000 devices.

Symptoms:
  • How to check bootloader version.
  • What is the current bootloader version running in the firewall?
  • How to determine the bootloader version in ScreenOS.
Solution:

On the ISG and NS-5000 devices, the bootloader version can be obtained using the command 'get envar'.

Example:

ISG1000-> get envar
default_image=screenos_image
run_image=default (screenos_image)

The boot loader version can also be determined from issuing the command 'get system'.

Example:

ISG1000-> get sys
